Mallery has over 14 years of experience working in healthcare, mental health & addictions field with adults and families/couples. She is extensively knowledgeable in Health Care Systems. She has completed her Human Justice Degree, Bachelor’s of Social Work and her Master’s in Social Work degree. Some areas Mallery specializes in includes: domestic violence/interpersonal violence, mental health, addictions including anxiety, depression grief and loss. Mallery has extensive experience working in the field of emergency crisis intervention and has a background in working with policing. Mallery also has experience not only working in emergency services, but also providing supports, services and counselling to those working in Public safety including police, fire and EMS.
Mallery practices from a trauma informed lens but also incorporates an anti-oppressive, strengths based and narrative approach while focusing on building strength and resilience. She also incorporates modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, and has training in EMDR.
Mallery is compassionate, understanding and empathetic, allowing her to connect with others. She is passionate about mental wellness and healing including mental, spiritual and emotional wellbeing and recognizes that you are the expert in your own journey.
